Saxophone Audition Requirements

Undergraduate Saxophone Audition Requirements

In addition to scales, audition materials should include etudes and/or solo works demonstrating contrasting styles, not to exceed ten minutes.

Scales: 12 majors, preferably in Florida All-State format

Etudes (examples): Two etudes of contrasting style (Ferling 48, Voxman Selected, Hite Melodious and Progressive Studies), or similar

Solo (examples): Creston Sonata op. 19, Milhaud Scaramouche, Glazunov Concerto op. 109, Maurice Tableaux de Provence, Ibert Concertino da Camera, or similar
